A nationwide citizens' movement
They shut our homes overnight. We will not stay silent.
Across Ahmedabad and now beyond, PGs and hostels are being shut down after society complaints — leaving students and working people with nowhere to go. This is where you tell your story. Together, we take it to the media, the authorities, and the whole country.

What is happening
An entire way of living, shut down without warning.
It started with a few society complaints. Then, one by one, paying-guest homes and hostels across Ahmedabad were ordered shut — and the closures are spreading to other cities. The residents are not outsiders. They are students sitting for exams, nurses on night shifts, first-job earners far from family. Overnight, thousands were told to pack up and leave, with no notice, no refund, and nowhere to go.
- Sudden eviction. Notices of hours, not months.
- No alternative. Affordable housing simply isn't there.
- Lives disrupted. Exams, jobs, and safety on the line.
- No voice. Each resident fights alone — until now.

Questions you may have
Is my phone number safe?
Yes. Your phone number and email are never shown on the website and never shared publicly. Only our small team uses them to contact you if needed.
Will my story be made public?
Only if you tick the consent box. Even then, we show your first name and city — never your full contact details. You can ask us to remove it anytime.
Does this cost anything?
No. This is a citizens' movement. Sharing your story is completely free.
What will you do with all the stories?
We compile them into one verified record and take it to journalists, elected representatives, and the authorities — so the scale of what's happening is impossible to ignore.
